Description
The Herpetology Collection at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, Fort Hays State University (FHSM) contains more than 16,000 recent catalogued specimens. FHSM is a major repository for voucher, reference, and research specimens from the Great Plains and beyond. Since 2001 the collection has become a regionally significant tissue repository, as nearly all voucher specimens have ethanol preserved tissues available for use in molecular and genetic studies.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 15,389 records.
