Description

The mammal collection has a strong regional focus, particularly for Wisconsin mammals, though specimens from other states are broadly represented. Many of these specimens are from the period of the first state and national biological surveys. There are also significant collections present from South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Many mammal skeletons are housed in the UWZM’s osteology collection.
