Description
The UNCG Mammal Collection is an actively growing collection of mammal vouchers, of local (North Carolina) to regional (southeastern U.S.) scope. Most specimens are recent (2020 and after) and holistic in nature, with multiple parts (tissue samples, parasites) and derivative data (genetic barcodes, parasite identifications and abundances, microbiome sequences) typically associated with mammal vouchers. Holdings are strong for small mammals from the Southern Appalachian Mountains, and for fluid-preserved specimens.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 909 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section.
