Description

The UWYMV Herp Collection houses mainly historic specimens from the early to mid-1900s, with the majority of specimens collected from the state of Wyoming, including specimens of Wyoming Toads (Anaxyrus baxteri) collected by Baxter on the Laramie plains. The collection has recently begun to take in modern specimens, including genetic samples.
